Imagining the ecosocial within social work

چکیده
Aiming to explore how the ecosocial is imagined within social work research, this article engages with understandings of relationship between and ecological realms when responding call for sustainability. A theoretical framework offering five possible imaginations was developed: holistic; anthropocentric conflictual; compatible; ‘ecocentric’ compatible. The material consists international peer-reviewed articles referring ecosocial. result reveals that imagination heterogeneous. However, holistic compatible are common, while conflictual rare, which confirms nurturing sustainability does not entail conflicting interests or rivalry but rather opposite. This implies only an ongoing widening notion sustainability, in idea limitations re-installed, also a re-definition ‘the social’ so as include non-human.
